Blessing Bags

We will be putting together "Blessing Bags" as a group!

Blessing Bags are gallon Ziploc bags filled with items that will benefit a person who is down on their luck and dealing with homelessness.  They will be filled with items like water, snacks (individually wrapped), travel size toiletries, socks, and other items that people living on the street might find helpful.  You then keep these bags in your car and you can hand one out when you encounter a homeless person.  Our kids have loved putting these together as well as handing them out, so, please bring kids of ALL ages to help with this service project!

Please RSVP so I know approximately how much to purchase.    I am thinking we will do 10 bags per family to take with you, so I need the RSVP and then can begin purchasing this week.  I have applied and been granted $250 to help with funding but depending on numbers, may need additional donations, so the sooner you RSVP the better for my planning purposes! 

I have planned for an hour, but it may not take that long.  There will be tables and "stations" set up so you will basically walk through and follow the instructions to fill up your bags!
